Once you become a part of Six Star
magazine, we like to keep in touch. We
did just that as we caught up with our
previously profiled athletes, both of
whom competed in the 2016 Summer
Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Featured in the Spring 2016 issue
of Six Star, Khamica Bingham qualified
in both the 100 m sprint and as the
anchor runner on the women’s 4 x 100
squad. She ranked 25th in her solo
event, while the relay team qualified for
the final and came home in 7th place.
Our star from the Fall 2015 issue,
Josée Bélanger, fought strongly
alongside her teammates on the on
the Canadian women’s soccer team
throughout the tournament. In the
end, the team earned the bronze medal,
beating out the Brazilian squad, 2-0, in
their final match.
