(NCSC)

in Ottawa, encompasses members from
all around the Ottawa/Gatineau area.
There is no charge for membership –

models are welcome. There are online

MONTREAL SUBARU CLUB (MSC)
Established in 1998, the Montreal Subaru
Club, one of Canada’s oldest Subaru
owners groups, currently has 700+
active members. In addition to online
forums, the club also organizes an annual
Christmas party for its members as well
as the Sugar Shack Drive, a spring outing
to maple syrup country.
Members organize regular meetings,
family picnics and monthly dinner clubs.
The club also participates automotive
events like rallies and track days.
“We’re called the Montreal Subaru Club
but our membership stretches across
the province,” Mike Moffa, Montreal
club founder and president, says.
“Even outside the province. Everyone’s
welcome!”

ATLANTIC CANADA SUBARU CLUB
(ACSC)
Established in 2003, the ACSC calls itself
“Atlantic Canada’s online Subaru fan club.”
Cody Swanson, the original club founder,
started it to allow the local Subaru
community could get to know each other.
“I was a member of i-Club (which became
NASIOC),” says Cody. “But I didn’t really
find a lot of locals on there.”
Headquartered in Moncton, N.B., the club
has 937 registered members from all across
the Maritimes who meet regularly in online
forums, at their annual Summer Subie Meet
as well as regular monthly “mini meets” in
Fredericton, Moncton and Halifax.
Mike Breecher, current owner and
administrator of the club’s online forum, is
unofficial ringmaster of its many activities.
“Even though the discussion is about
Subarus, I believe it’s the people and not the
cars that make this club what it is,” says Mike.
“The friends that I have made are priceless
and for that I will always be grateful.”

Despite its name, this Ontario-based
group isn’t strictly a Subaru club any more.
Nor is it for causal drivers. It’s dedicated
to motorsports and competes as a club
in a variety of events. It began when a
group of Subaru enthusiasts formed the
Subaru Performance Driver’s Association,
which later became SPDA-Online.ca and
diversified to all automotive enthusiasts.
It includes members from many cities in
Ontario, other provinces and countries
who help one another in everything from
co-driving at the track and performance
driving instructions to holding tech nights
to help each other install performance
parts or just tune and maintain their cars.
The club’s mission is to “provide a fun and
exciting forum for sharing information
and ideas, promoting enthusiasm and
uniqueness through competitive events,
web forums and meets with friends who
share the same passion.”

club’s web site at spda-online.ca.
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST…
SUBARU 360 DRIVERS CLUB
This online club is dedicated to owners
and fans of the very first Subaru ever
built – the 360. Established in 1979, it’s an
international all-volunteer hobbyists club
who have joined together with a simple
mission: “to keep our favorite vehicles on
the road and running on both cylinders.”
The club publishes a quarterly newsletter
that contains tips, technical knowledge,
parts availability, and general news about
the beloved 360. Any past, present, or
prospective 360 owner is eligible to join.
Club dues of US$8.
(NOTE – the original club dues back in 1979
were $2 – one for each cylinder.)
