A look at Subaru owners’
clubs across Canada
It’s not unusual. Aficionados of anything - be it cars, boats,
sports teams, ceramic figurines or even comic book super
heroes - find ways to get together and share their passions.
So it should come as no surprise that loyal Subaru owners
all across the country (and around the world) have done the
same thing.
Often these clubs start out as small owners groups
gathering to talk about their beloved vehicles. The news
spreads as more Subaru owners join. The get-togethers
become bigger, attracting even more people. Multiply this
by several years and suddenly a small, grassroots group
can have several hundred members. Now add technology
components like online forums/chat groups, Facebook
pages, Twitter accounts and other social media and there are
hundreds of members.
Others are large online groups that boast large numbers of
members who only ‘meet’ in the virtual world. Some groups
focus on a specific Subaru model while others embrace
the entire lineup. Still others are focused on their vehicles’
performance side, organizing and racing under the club name.
MORE THAN JUST TALK
Club activities are much more than just talking Subaru –
whether in person or online. Go a little deeper and find these
clubs offer members more than a place to rave about their
favourite cars. Members can:
