The Calgary
Stampede
boasts the
best outdoor
show on earth
With its unbeatable rodeo shows,
exhilarating rides, sensational
fairgrounds and the hottest
performers in country and rock,
the Calgary Stampede, a terrific
destination for your Subaru, just
might be the greatest outdoor
show on earth. Especially since last
year, the city coped with floods just
before Stampede time. Putting it on,
Stampede CEO Vern Kimball said,
means going ahead with the show
was “a vital show of defiance in the
face of disaster.”
To bring the festival back on line with
a real bang, this year Canadian countrypop icon, Shania Twain, will headline this
summer’s Stampede, her one and only
Canadian appearance in 2014. She will
rock the Scotiabank Saddledome July
9-10, 2014, for the first time outside Las
Vegas in more than ten years.
She’s eager to return to Canada to
take the stage. “I’m coming home soon
and looking forward to seeing you all
at the Calgary Stampede,” she said in a
video message to fans, produced by the
Stampede.
Adam Oppenheim, Stampede Concerts’
managing director, believes Twain’s fans
have the ultimate opportunity to see her
perform in a true western setting. “She is
beloved by so many and we couldn’t be
happier that Stampede fans and visitors will
be able to see her first concert outside of
Vegas in more than 10 years,” he said.
