HAL AL
Previously named “Kandang Kerbau (Buffalo Cage)”, this
spot is now known by the type of bamboo that grows in
the area. Tekka Center is located right above Little India
MRT Station, providing easy access to reach the place.
Here you can taste Bak Chor Mee, a noodle dish served
with pork. But don’t worry! This Hawker Center provides
you with many options of halal food! The favorite dish
here is Dum Briyani (Indian seasoned rice with meat and
vegetables), Prata Bread and Indian Rojak that are a
must experience for your taste buds. Indian style Rojak
consists of sliced fried foods and eaten with sambal
that is made of smashed potatoes and herbs completed
with slices of cucumber and shallot. These three dishes
are halal, ridding any worry from those of you who
are Muslims. Tekka Center building is often repainted,
previously carried a bright green hue and now displays
the vibrant colors of yellow and orange. Tekka Center
offers a selection of unusual exotic dishes, and coming
here is a fantastic way to taste Little India on a plate.
