or walk and lived with daily
pain. When they finally took
the tracheal tube out, and he
was able to eat a little bit of
pureed food, the expression of
delight on his face was a sight
to behold.
I began to see how privileged
and blessed we are to taste, to
smell, to see, to touch.
My husband has a rare eye
disease and may go blind in
the future. Just a few years
ago, I started to lose some of
my sight for reading and had
a little taste of his challenge.
How much more appreciation
I have for my eyesight now.
Sometimes it takes a situation
where you are deprived of
something that you rely on to
appreciate what you have.
