Simperium Issue 4: May 2020 | Page 90

carolldesign Hi! My name is Karolina and I am a 28 year old Polish girl living in South England. I work professionally as a CC creator, but I also take photos at concerts, and have done it for more than 10 years now. That’s how I ended up meeting my husband and moving to the UK to live with him and his family. I am also into music. I've sung since I was very little and general beauty, I used to run a makeup related Instagram in the past and went to school for it. Now I learn and develop my nail design hobby. I am absolutely obsessed about holographic things, too! Playing this game really relaxes me and I guess that’s why I keep playing. I truly dislike violence in modern video games, and the Sims franchise always had that safe place for me. I really wish I could have more time to play it as I used to before I started to create CC. Sometimes, creating a great file and preview for it takes me a lot of time. I still love playing the game, but work is very busy for me now, especially during the pandemic of Covid-19, where every fan of CC who is staying home wants to have new content in the game. And here I come to save the day with other artists. My first contact with Sims was in the early 2000’s. I saw my sister playing it on our first PC and, funnily enough, I was very scared of the game at first! For some silly reason, every game she played made me really afraid to try it. I eventually lost my fear and tried it. I think that I had almost every single EP and SP from the previous Sims versions except Sims 3 where I lacked Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats SP. Otherwise I always saved some pennies to buy another extension, or I'd even get them as a Christmas gift. I truly don’t have one specific Sims game that is my 100% favourite. I loved playing the Sims 3 for its freedom in travelling... I miss that in Sims 4 and I keep my fingers crossed that Gurus will maybe come up with an idea of giving us a car / other vehicle related pack. After Discover University and Island Living this would be my 100% perfect game. I also really liked building in the Sims 3 - the creativity was limitless then, and Sims 4 is missing a few bits here and there. I reckon that at this point I am favouriting the Sims 3 here. 90 SIMPERIUM
