The structure of the Academy was what fascinated Bill’ s younger son Milt Larsen who after seeing the building begun daydreaming about the idea of turning the building into some sort of clubhouse for magicians, little did he know that it would turn out this great. entertaining the audience. He was also the in-house magician for many years at the castle.
Other great performers existed too, the likes of Billy McComb, Gary Grant, Steve Martin, Jason Alexander, Johnny Platt, Kuda Bux, and many others.
The most captivating aspect of the Milts’ ideology was that they were constructing, or rather adjusting, a building to a clubhouse without the plans of having a real boogie down club in it. He got his brother on it, and the product was The Magic Castle and Academy of Magical Arts.
The magic castle has evolved into a presentation or rather a performance venue, which has a restaurant and a private membership club where several magical performances are presented, and this venue only gives access to the territory to members and members only.
The Magic Castle has grown to be the home to Magicians in and around the world. The Magic Castle that houses the Academy of Art was declared a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1989 and since then has soared high as one of the fun places to be in the world.

The Academy of Magic art is also nonprofit making organization with a major focus on the promotion of the art of magic. It formally opened shop in 1963 although announced by the sons of Williams Larson, Bill, and Milt in 1962.
The academy, which accepts membership only by subscription does not necessarily require that you are a magician before you join. All you need to do is love the art as it is recorded that currently, the Academy has about 5000 members and only has about half of the members as magician performers.
Most of the members are in the entertainment business, law, finance, and medical fields. Some of these associate members are friends of magician members who enjoy the atmosphere of the Academy. The Board
