If your passion is magic , you must have heard of The Magic Castle . For many , it is the symbol of professional magic . For the lucky ones who get to perform there , it has often become the highlight of their career . For many others , it ´ s become a goal to strive for .
Lets explore the history of The Magic Castle .
The magic castle as it is fondly called is located in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles . Although this hasn ’ t been its home from the onset , it was formerly a Chateaustyle or Chateauesque residence built in 1909 by banker Rollin B . Lane even though the Magic Castle started later in the century .
It all began with the Larsen ’ s family , W . Larsen Sr . precisely . He was a successful criminal attorney in his prime days in California . However , due to his love and enthusiasm for magic , he gave up his practice of law and took his family on the road as “ The Larsen ’ s Family of Magicians .”
The Larsen ’ s announced the formation of the to-be Magic Castle “ Academy of Magical Arts and Sciences in 1951 whereby all members were subscribers to a particular magic and arts oriented magazines , but
