Using primary and accent colors
Using accent colors
• The transparent “Big Bar” is always in
the primary color Siemens Stone –
the “Small Bar” in the primary color
S
iemens Stone or preferably a Siemens
accent color.
• If color accents are desired, highlights
like teasers, bullet points, intermediate
subheads, or margin copy can be in
the same accent color as the “Small
Bar”.
• The accent color for the “Small Bar”
can be chosen as desired, as long as it
fits with the coloration of the key visual
(a prominent color element or a dominant color field within the key visual).
• In exceptional cases, such as brochure
inside pages, Siemens Stone and an
accent color can be combined to give
a further hierarchy. The same goes
for information graphics. The background must always be a halftone in
the primary color Siemens Stone, with
the accents within the graphic in the
accent color used in the “Small Bar”.
• Accent colors should be used sparingly – just one per layout, topic,
p
ublication, or campaign. The first
impression should be colorful, but
not multicolored or garish.
