Corporate design manual? |? Siemens-Electrogeräte GmbH? |? Eye-catchers Design basics General An eye-catcher is a graphic or copy element that stands out from its surroundings. Its job is to attract the viewer’s attention and trigger a purchase decision, for example, or communicate important information. Eye-catchers can contain pictograms, third-party marks, or copy. Pictogram e ye-catchers are used as a matter of preference. Their color, size, and combinations should be chosen in accordance with the f ollowing instructions. Changes must not be made to the content and design of pictogram eye-catchers. All eye-catchers are available as Illustrator (ai), eps, and svg files. They are a uniform 24?x?24?mm size, and can be scaled as needed for the specific layout. Size instructions: See page 116 ff. In the future these will be available for download in the Siemens Mediacenter and on a planned MAM server. ReadMe files with comments on color adaptatio n or t ranslation copy changes will be added. Typographic eye-catchers can also be created individually as described below. See page 113 106
