Saira Viola, The Creator of Sonic Scatter Script, Dashes Her way Across Dirty Napkins, Margins and the walls of Abandonded Buildings, which is then Photogrpahed, to Create a Novel

Saira Viola is a London and New York based poet, novelist and song lyricist whose work is inspired by her observations of greed and the excess of city life, influenced by an eclectic mix of music and literature . Viola uses artistic references ,popular culture , street slang, lyrical beats and nature to describe character plot and action. Her work is infused with social undercurrents and saturated with dark humour and memorable characters . She often weaves rhyme into the narrative of her prose writing candidly without excessive explication : ie she was a wiggle and giggle chick with a slut bomb pout and Jenna Jameson bounce or he was a boom boom shake the room kind of guy with Bull dog wrinkles and Johnny Depp eyes.

Viola's fiction inhabits the ground covered by contemporary social satire. Her work employs many poetic devices, such as internal rhymes, assonance, alliteration, and is derived largely from contemporary lyrical forms, with a feel that is reminiscent sometimes of rap and song lyrics, and at others brings to mind early beat literature and its gonzo derivatives. She calls this style ‘sonic scatterscript.' Now enjoy an excerpt from her up and coming novel, "Crack Apple and Pop."
