If we could we would load millions of copies of this issue of Sid's Opened Lid's Literary Art Magazine onto F-22 Raptor Fighter Jets and drop them onto ever major city in every country of the world, we would. Why the fighter jets you might ask? It seems today that people don't like to have unknown flying objects to be above their countires, unless it is a UFO and there are a bunch of hillbillies scramming drukenly around to find those wind up disposable cameras, or if the country is poor and there is food falling from the sky. That's right folks, don't ya' know, in countires where pork is edible, pigs can fly.
So why would we do something like this? The answer is simple, there are people with S.O.L. everywhere and to deny them the right to read and/or see other people with S.O.L. is inhumane.
If you search "The Trippiest Video Ever" on YouTube you will come across a video made by an artist with the name Francisco Schepperd, but what is important in the video is the audio, which is a song I do not know the name of repeating the phrase, "We are all the same," inbetween what old people call horrific sounds of mutilated animals. This is exactly why Sid's Opened Lid believe it has the ability to travel abroad and make itself known in places like Paris, Germany, Amsterdam, Timbuktu, Thailand, and so much more.
Wherever you travel in the world you will find people thinking differently from the normal thought process of their peers without a place where they can express their beliefs. We are extending our hand to these people. People from around the globe, come and become part of a collective of literary, visual and performing artists who don't know when to stop, don't want to stop, and want to row our boats violently down the stream, down the waterfall at the edge of the Earth. Don't worry, there will be a triangle shaped island made from this issue of our beloved magazine for us to cultivate, prosper and live on.
Until then, enjoy the art of some of the people who have stumbled our way offering a trade so that they may stop wandering to find a place for their things.. Through collective bargaining please enjoy our latest issue of Sid's Opened Lid's Literary Art Magazine, S.O.L.'s Air Raid.
