His entire music career Seth has had very public disagreements with many of the more mainstream, typical EDM types that make up a large portion of the electronic music scene. The Steve Aoki’s. The Avici’s. Basically anyone who you classify as typical press and play DJ’s. Many people would say that his beef with them is that those DJ’s mainline the big festivals and take home the big bucks. It’s truly much deeper than that though. What you have to realize about many of these big names is that they don’t even produce much of the music they play. They have a team behind them, a production team, a marketing team, etc., that formulates an image for their artist and then they just throw them up on stage and press play while they wave their hand in the air and 10,000 teenage morons half-roll on some bunk molly with lollipops in their mouths waiting for the drop.

That’s not who Seth Troxler is and its not what he represents. Seth comes from Detroit, Michigan. Considered by many to be one of the homes of techno music. From a young age he was involved in the scene and dove head first into it. He played his first gig at a popular Spanish festival called Sonar at only 18 and blew up from there.
