From time to time, something new arrises at the horizon. That horizon lies in Finland in the case of EPHEMERALD. Starting out in the autumn of 2016, the band is as fresh as the steak I ate earlier today. Responsible for this first single are Joni Snoro (ex-Frosttide), Lauri Myllylä (ex-Frosttide), Vesa Salovaara (Vorna) and Juho Suomi (Apocryfal & Prayed and Betrayed). All experienced musicians, and that shows. I BEAR FIRE sounds epic and powerfull. The combination of deep grunts and melodically orchestrated music, is responsible for a recognisable sound, and the dynamism in the song is impressive.
The clean vocals make me think of bands such as POWERWOLF. Al lin all, the song is written and recorded very well, and the mastering adds to the quality. I'll let the music do the talking. See for yourself what's what. My personal score for this song is 8,4/10.
