T he Indian Antelope is also known as Blackbuck and scientific name is Antilope cervicapra. They are found in India, Paki- stan and Nepal. Their height in stands is around 28 to 33 inches tall, males weight is around 20 to 60 kilograms and average weight is around 37 to 40 kilograms. The females are light weight and average weight is around 27 kilograms and mostly 20 to 35 kilograms. Their ringed horns are 14 to 30 inches long, and mostly seems on male. The white fur around eyes and chin is with black stripes on face with sharp contrast. Theirs upperparts and outside of legs are brown to black while underparts and inside of legs are white. The lifespan is around 10 to 15 years. They regularly needs water so they mostly select the areas where water is easily available. Theirs habitats is water area and grassy plains forest areas. They are slow down their activities at noon and as days going hotter in summer. They can run faster as 80 kilometres per hours speed. They are feed on grasses, live, oak, mesquite and sometimes fruits. August to October and March to April is observed in India for mating.
