Campers will celebrate this blockbuster Broadway sensation of the year as they explore the Founding Fathers through hip-hop, R & B and rap while performing their favorite tracks from the hit soundtrack. Having creative ownership over their theatrical experience, students can choose to showcase their own version of this 11-time Tony Award Winning Musical or create and perform in their very own Hamilton-inspired musical … And the world’ s gonna know your name!
Voice Lessons
Teacher: Alex Makris, Middle School Music Teacher Grades: 1 st- 5 th Dates: Mondays, September 10 – October 15( 5 weeks)
( No class held on 10 / 8) Time:( 30 minute lessons) Lessons are offered from 3:30-5:30 pm Fees: $ 260 Please contact Alex. Makris @ shschicago. org to schedule a timeslot before registering for class.
Mr. Makris will meet with students in a private voice studio setting. Students will work on developing an understanding of proper vocal technique including breathing, relaxation of the vocal mechanism, vowel placement all while learning new and exciting songs. No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to work and a desire to become a better singer. Students will meet for 30 minute per lesson.
Tuesday After School Classes
Explore the Wonders of 3D Printing!
Teacher: Staff from NextWave STEM Grades: 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th & 6 th Dates Mondays, September 10- October 15( 5 weeks)

Fees: $ 140 + $ 5 materials fee = $ 145 Minimum Enrollment: 8; Maximum Enrollment: 12 This class is designed for beginners to gain an understanding of how a 3D printer works and the process of going from a blank 3D design canvas to a full physical print out to make your ideas come to life. Students will learn how to build and modify through Tinkercad and use Thingiverse to download items for print or modifications that are created by others. Students keep all of their 3D printed materials.
Little Scientists
Teacher: Alexa Feiereisel, Teaching Assistant( H2) Grades: Kindergarten, 1 st & 2 nd Dates: Tuesdays, September 11 – October 16( 5 weeks)
