There will be different equipment, different rules and a different game each week! We will play kickball games like: Capture the kickball, one base kickball, terminator and mat ball. Let’s kick off the school year making new friends while running bases. Join Ms. Rodriguez in learning the basic physics behind the rides as you get to design your own amusement park ride and build one to take home. Well here is your chance! Join Mrs. Carlucci as you open your very own Italian Restaurant! We will discuss the food and culture of Italy, prepare all the food to serve at the restaurant, make all the decorations, learn how to be good waiters and waitresses but most of all, learn what it takes to open a successful restaurant! On our final day, the restaurant we will open for business and our customers will be your teachers! Mrs. Carlucci’s family has been in the restaurant business for over 35 years and she is excited to share her insight and secret family recipes! NOTE: Please schedule a timeslot with the instructor before registering for class by contacting: Alex.Makris@shschicago.org Mr. Makris will meet with students in a private voice studio setting. Students will work on developing an understanding of proper vocal techniques including breathing, relaxation of the vocal mechanism, vowel placement all while learning new and exciting songs.
