Dear Friends,
My best wishes and heartiest greetings of Durga Puja 2013 to one
and all.
It is an honour and a privilege to be entrusted with the responsibility
to organize this historic first ever Durga Puja in Bengaluru.
Over the years, I have been associated with various Socio-cultural &
Community Welfare initiatives, both in India as well as abroad;
however, I must admit that the Assamese Community that exists
here in the garden city of Bengaluru is definitely one of special kind,
a most amazing and vibrant community. I feel and also believe that
the our Community in Bengaluru, spearheaded by the Assam Society
of Bangalore, is doing a wonderful job in preserving and celebrating
our very rich legacy and wonderful cultural heritage like a true
custodian. The initiatives such as celebration of Bihu over the years
and now Durga Puja for the very first time just cements this fact.
Once more, I bow my head humbly to this amazing spirit of bonhomie
and camaraderie among the community members. I would also like
to congratulate each and every member of the most happening
Assamese community spreading across the world.
