manage to bring this event live. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Shri
Prakash Barua; Dr B M Gogoi; Shri D C Borkotoky; Shri Apurba
Choudhury; Shri Mukesh Sarma; Shri Samarjeet Ghosh; the entire
Durga Puja 2013 Organizing Committee; all members of the Assam
Society of Bangalore; and all our invaluable patrons and well-wishers
because of whom this historic Durga Puja 2013 could be organized.
In this first ever initiative, our focus is on having a good puja and not
on any cultural extravaganza. Hence, if we fall short on that aspect,
I would request our dear community members to be understanding
of this fact, and also of the fact that even we are learning as we are
evolving.
As we move forward, I am sure that with the choicest of blessings of
‘Maa Durga’, this first ever initiative will continue to be taken forward
by the Assamese Community in the coming years with the same zest
and fervour. We will look forward to an annual Durga Puja event as a
permanent fixture for the entire community to get galvanized and
come together as one big family and enjoy the festivities.
Last, but not the least in any way, I wish to extend my heartiest
congratulations to the extremely hardworking and dedicated Souvenir
committee of Ms Saurabhi Sarmah, Pranab Jyoti Borah, Dhiraj
Talukdar, Pranesh , Tapashi for creating and bringing out the enriching
‘Shree’ !!!
