At Home:
1.
Take a walk after dinner. Get the family and make it
an adventure. Stroll around your neighborhood or go
to the park. Walking after you eat gets your digestive
system working and helps to move those bowels!

Reduce your children’s T.V. time. Get them outside
during the week. They can jump rope or run around
the yard. Let them bounce on a trampoline or fly a
kite.

Plant a garden. Make gardening a whole family
activity. Buy some seeds, get some gardening soil
and tools and get in the dirt! Have the kids dig holes
and plant seeds. Let them help you maintain the
garden.
4.
Register your children for outdoor sports. Start an
“activity weekend” where the family enjoys outdoor
physical activity together. Go biking, swimming or
walking/running for charity.
5.
During commercial breaks establish a family routine
to get up and move. Walk around the house or do
jumping jacks, lunges or sit-ups.
