Let’s Get Moving: 10-Steps to Get in Shape Anywhere

Did you know that sitting is now considered the new
smoking? According to research sitting for long
periods of time is as dangerous to our health as
smoking!
The reality is our bodies need to move. Physical
activity reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes
and cancer. It also elevates our mood, improves our
sleep, burns calories, and increases our metabolism.
Activity creates healthier skin and boosts our
energy! Now who doesn’t want more of that!
There is a major misconception between exercise
and physical activity. Take note that I say physical
activity and not exercise. Moving our bodies is not
limited to set periods of time where we do
“exercises” at the gym or do Pilates or yoga.
Physical activity includes any movement to get our
hearts pumping and muscles moving!
