Why It's Not All About Just Pumping Weights
If I had a dollar for every time a client told me
she just can't seem to get the motivation to
get to the gym...I would have an investment
plan big enough to set me up for retirement!
Lack of motivation is one thing, but really
hating on your training regime is a whole
other experience. Just because the masses
are doing one thing to keep fit and well,
doesn't mean it's necessarily right for you...
1. Shut your mouth, shut down your mind,
and feel…just feel. This may take a minute, ten
minutes, an hour….it may take days or weeks
of daily practice to shut up long enough to
feel anything at all. I don’t care how long it
takes….persistence and consistency are the
mothers of success.
2. Once you start to feel, you have the chance
to speak to your body, not your mind, your
body…your body can only communicate back
Just because you see it covering the pages of to you through what you ‘feel’…so it’s a feeling
glossy fitness magazines…doesn’t mean it’s
your looking for…a physical response to a
what your body wants or needs.
concept, an idea.
Have you ever heard the term ‘sheep
mentality’?
It’s the mentality where you just follow the
masses…but you know what…power lies in
taking another path…and having the courage
to do so…because you just ‘know’ something
different.
How do you know what ‘other’ direction to
take? You need to get a little woo-woo..(aka
spiritual)
You get really effing honest with yourself…
And you ask some effing awesome
questions!
What does that look like?
3. Ask now, now you’re present with your
body….’how do you want to move?’ ‘how to
concept, an idea.
4. Ask now, now you’re present with your
body….’how do you want to move?’ ‘how to
YOU want to train?’
If you don’t receive an answer, give your body
some options…
Do you want to be in the gym?
What is your very first ‘feeling’ on this?
It will be a resounding yes or no.
