Re-opening of the tomb of Tutankhamon
DO YOU KNOW WHO TUTANKHAMON IS ?
Tutankhamon was born in Amarna in 1341 a.C. he is remembered like the child pharaoh because is died when he was 18. and governed from 1333 a.C to 1323 a.C in Egypt .
HAVE YOU EVER VISITED THE TUTANKHAMON ’S TOMB?
The tomb located in the valley of kings in Luxury, was first discovered by Howar Carter, a British archaeologist and egyptologist, in 1922. The tomb area has gone through ten years of restoration starting in 2008 and now from the 4th February it has been reopened to visitors! In these ten years of restoration the tomb has changed because of the bad conditions of the place. The tomb is also famous for the legend of the Tutankhamon’s course!
DO YOU KNOW THE LEGEND OF THE CURSE?
On Tutankhamon’s tomb there is a sentence: “The death will go on rapid wings for whoever will disturb the king’s peace “. This course was discovered in 1923 when Carter,died after a exspedition in Egypt.But Carter was already infirm and the curse was an advertising found born to prevent thefts.
