Christmas Pudding

In line with the cake you might like to get started on the Pudding too. You can make pudding recipes into one large pudding or in smaller individual puddings. The little ones make gorgeous gifts for friends and teachers and also look fabulous served on Christmas Day with toffee and semifreddo ice cream, which you will find on the next page. Once again you can use gluten free flour and sulphite free dried fruit if you prefer for this recipe.

Tree Ornaments

I love to decorate the tree and each year we come up with new ideas to add to what we did the year before or create a whole new scheme which can be followed through on the Christmas table and throughout the house as well. You'll find some lovely Frangipani decorations on the website made using a silicon mould. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2gni1cwWuI

I will be adding some salt dough ornaments, glass bottles, cookies, felt ornaments and a few others shortly - keep an eye out...

The Tree

You can use a fresh tree, a faux Christmas tree or you could make your own white Christmas tree, using the birch tree project http://sewcraftcook.com.au/project/birch-tree/

All the instructins are there to make a really tall tree - about 7 foot tall, it makes a great tree and adds a modern, quirky twist.

I will soon be adding an MDF tree to the site, which is cut out with a jigsaw, it's gorgeous too and can be painted to suit your decor, I like these just white, but feel free to paint as you like. I'll also be showing you some decorating options for your tree. Colour schemes and themes can be created to suit your decor, be it beachy, classical, minimal, traditional, crafty or whatever. Would love to hear what you do, send me an email with your ideas, or pop through a photo I can add to our members pinterest page http://www.pinterest.com/sewcraftcookau/members-page/

Gifts

With lotsof gifts you can make already on the site, there is plenty to make, like the picnic rug (pictured on the back page of the mag), leather wrist cuff, wallet, plant bags and so on. I will be adding many more ideas over the coming two months so you can pop on to www.sewcraftcook.com.au and check it out to see what's new.
