Although it seems some months from Christmas, it really is only 75 days away.... not that long when you need to make gifts, Christmas Cake, Pudding and Ornaments.

Christmas Cake

It's time to start preparing the Christmas Cake so the fruit is soaked and ready to use and the cake has time to sit and gather flavour for the festive season. The recipe will be uploaded very shortly in the cook / celebrate section of the sewcraftcook.com.au. You can use gluten free flour and you can also use sulphite free dried fruit if you have any allergies or preferences for these alternatives. I suggest you get going on this by the end of October so it's at it's best - you'll be glad you did.

Many of you will have seen these gorgeous Christmas Sacks on facebook and the website. I have given you step by step instructions on how to make them. You can also make the samaller ones as pictured, using the same insutructions but altering the size. They are great for small gifts, for friends, family and teachers, just pop in some bubbles, jam or condiments and the bag becomes a gift they can use year after year.
