From the way fabric flows to the always-changing textures and patterns of the ocean , I have explored , via this investigation , different sources of motion . Through different materials , scales and techniques , I have experimented with how static images can create an illusion of movement .
My first study has been to explore the different textures and feelings of fabric . The incorporation of colours and gestures has allowed me to create a sense of movement through my work . As I delved deeper , I became increasingly fascinated and interested in how I could capture the movement of the human body in static images . This investigation let me discover new and exciting perspectives in my pieces , as it challenged me to merge two opposites : the continuity of movement with the freezing of time . This interesting aspect of my journey led me to persevere in my project from a new angle . Having always been attracted to the ocean and its beautiful colours of blue and green , I was determined to depict this element . Exploring different painting techniques such as chiaroscuro , I began to use light as a way to show the depth of the waves that interfere with each other , displaying a beautiful yet rough image of the sea .
Therefore , I strived to convey a sense of motion and movement that is both elegant and powerful . As a result , my art pieces present a visual representation of the beauty and strength of movement and the ways it can shape , transform or even distort the world we live in .
