Architecture, University of Edinburgh 2019–2023
During my first semester as an Architecture student,
particular emphasis has been placed upon sequences, both
within the spatial experience and in the framework which
encases it; the ground, the walls and openings, the roof.
This series, entitled Contamination, looks at sequences
as the expansions of related events and movements
through abstraction. By combining my observations of
Matt Pearson’s digital creations using line frequency, and
of Allyson Grey’s vibrant bursts of geometry, I created the
narrative of contamination which occurs within the space.
Through a series of phases, this space begins to be overrun
by a sequence of colour until the lines have fully absorbed
it and the contamination is complete.
