Once upon a time, there was a big company called“ Technidea”. This company was very rich and successful. But this success didn’ t take long. In September, they made a big mistake and then it caused a big problem. The company was in trouble. They needed more intellectual people and made an advertisement for this problem. But they didn’ t find any intellectual people. They were hopeless. For one week, the CEO of the company organized meetings everyday and repeated Nelson Mandela’ s quote“ I never lose. I either win or learn.” Two days later, one boy saw the advertisement that they made. He took the advertisement and called the number, which was on the ad, 08973784232. The secretary answered the phone. He was excited. So he stammered while answering the secretary’ s questions. The secretary told him to come the following day. He wore his most beautiful suit and went to the company. When he arrived, their CEO was waiting for him. He was confident but he could stammer if he couldn’ t handle his feelings. The CEO said,“ There are so many things to do. Don’ t be relaxed. Work, work, work!”. Their CEO was getting angry. So the new boy did everything that they said. It was 9 p. m. but they were still working. At half past nine, two mail came. The first one was about their new worker’ s earning. Second one was also about their new worker, but it was saying an important thing. It was saying that“ The new worker’ s real name isn’ t Jack. His real name is Christopher and he is a very intellectual person. He has a special bedroom and in the bedroom he is trying to made a real robot, which has similar features with the humans.” When they finished reading, they were shocked and kind of hopeful. Their CEO was hopeful after this event. They wanted Christopher to bring his robot. Next day, he came with his robot. They settled the robot on the floor and turned it on. His robot did everything that they wanted. They were very excited about his robot. While they were daydreaming about their company’ s future, the robot’ s mouth moved and tried to say something. They didn’ t understand anything. But then, they heard whispering. Someone whispered. They heard that. They looked around, then the robot talked to them. Everyone tried to understand the robot’ s explanations. Then they heard that the robot was saying“ I need to speak with a human.” When they heard that, they forgot everything. They all brainstormed until they found the meaning of this …

STONE FOX READING RESPONSE
This semester I read chapter 10 of Stone Fox. This was the most exciting chapter yet! In the beginning of the chapter, they were still racing. Searchlight was continuing the race with her such force. Then she had heart burst. She stopped and fell onto snow. Everyone started to run out to little Willy. Stone Fox came too. Put his hand on Searchlight’ s chest and felt no heart-beat. Then little Willy carried Searchlight, walked the last ten feet and across the finish line. It was distressing! As I was reading, I had some thoughts about the events in the chapter. When Stone Fox came out to Willy on page 80, I was so surprised. I think Stone Fox did a good behavior, while the race was continuing. Because nearly, everyone wants to win the race. I think Stone Fox came out to Willy because he really believed that little Willy will win because he did his best to won the race. I also had a connection to this part in the book. Once, in playground there was a bike race. There was a big child versus a younger child. The younger child started fast but the big child started slowly. Younger child was winning the race but he fell down. The big child came the same spot that younger child fell down and he helped him. He let him won the race. I had some questions as I was reading. On page 83, it says“... Willy, carrying Searchlight, walked the last ten feet and across the finish line.” Why didn’ t he think the future? Because he did everything with his dog, Searchlight. Then Searchlight died. If I were Willy I wouldn’ t enter the race, I would try to find other ways to pay the taxes. While I reading this chapter, I had some predictions. I predicted that Stone Fox will give up and Willy will win the race, because Willy was continuing the race in the first place and he motivated himself to win the race. My prediction was almost true, Willy won the race but Stone Fox didn’ t give up, Searchlight had a heart attack and died. I hope the author will write a second book of Stone Fox! This book is very exciting!
