Impressive collection of 160 different stamps plus two S/S
affixed to five large album pages (9½”x13") from Saudi Arabia
Post Office archives of specimen stamps sent by UPU head
office in Bern, Switzerland. On reverse of each page printed in
Arabic ‘Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Office of Posts and
Telegraphs, national Printing section’, followed by bilingual
French/Arabic printed ‘GOVERNMENT OF’ and ‘Page’ with
manuscript ‘Guatemala’ and page numbers filled in. Highlights
include (by Scott): 1935-37 Airmail Quetzal overprinted Interior
C32-46 & Exterior C47-69, 1947 Roosevelt 50c & 1q C155-56
with ‘MUESTRA’ overprint, 1950 Monostenango Cliffs C170
with SPECIMEN handstamp. Such archives known for only a
handful of countries. Interesting and unique grouping. Some
stamps lightly stuck down. Overall fine to very fine.
More than 100 mint sheets that include generic sheets, generic
preprinted sheets, maximum sheets, decorative sheets, minisheets, self-adhesive sheets and more. Many better single sheets
and complete sheets sets to $300 Bale. Very attractive collection
in deluxe Lighthouse binder. MINT never hinged, very fine.

Box filled with well over 1,000 official Israel Post Office new
issue announcement brochures. Expect duplication, not a
complete run but likely 90% complete. Most are bilingual. Box
weights almost 30 lbs. Fine to very fine.

F 1850s-60s FORGERY REFERENCE SELECTION .... $300-400
Group of 316 stamps on quadrille pages. All forgeries, both
unused and canceled. Includes: Modena, Parma, Roman States,
Romagna, Sardinia, Tuscany and Two Sicilies. Noted Parma
#12 full pane of 25. There may be an authentic stamp here or
there, some with fake cancels. Fine to very fine. Good reference
collection.

Couple hundred TAB stamps & blocks in blue hingeless
Lighthouse Album. Starts with Scott #1-6, plus varieties and
solid through year 1955 lacking only the expensive sets like
#7-9 and J1-5 for completion. Also includes some plate blocks,
position pieces with tete-beche both with and without gutters,
good number of First Day Folders and other goodies.
Occasional toning. Overwhelmingly MINT never hinged, fine
to very fine.

These stamps were issued near the end of WWII in limited
quantities. There are 16 basic issues, each with 3-line
‘Repubblica / Sociale / Italiana’ overprint, plus a number of
overprint varieties, all scarce to rare. This collection is in mounts
on six large pages, all MINT never hinged except for a complete
used set, with many stamps signed. The collection starts with
a complete set of the basic stamps, with a 1986 Raybaudi
certificate for the two key values; next is a complete used set
on small panel, various signatures; there are two values known
with inverted overprint and they are both here; then the three
known issues with double overprints; next is a nice sampling
of some of the other varieties including Sassone #5g (CV
€€1500) second ‘a’ in ‘Italiana’ with different font, #4h ‘Itatiana’
instead of ‘Italiana,’ and more including nearly a number with
small ‘u’ in ‘Repubblica,’ including Sassone #14l 75c brown
(CV €2500) with only 10 known. Seldom seen material, rare

in such a comprehensive format. Very fine and attractive
