Founders’ Letter
SERVICE A LA FRANCAISE is an organisation aimed at promoting and disseminating the excellence know-how of
the ''Meilleurs Ouvriers de France'' internationally and accompanying countries to promote practical trades, by
proposing to their companies a constant progress in terms of competencies mastered by the personnel.
The title ''Meilleur Ouvrier de France'' (MOF) is recognised as a university title on a European scale. The title is
awarded every 4 years to each ''meilleur ouvrier'' of the 240 French manual crafts. The medal ''MOF'' is handed
over by the President of the French Republic. Some trades of the ''Meilleurs Ouvriers de France'' such as Chef,
Jeweller or Fashion designer are amongst the most publicised and a lot of these trades allow countries like
Mauritius to enhance and strengthen their crafts.
Nothing like a passionate person to transfer the excellence of his craft’s know-how, and show that manual work
has extreme important value.
Our organisation constitutes a French association that regroups the ''Meilleurs Ouvriers de France'', who are
prepared for international work and an international operator located in Mauritius, making Mauritius and
consequently the Indian Ocean region, the first beneficiary zone of our international development.
In Mauritius, we have created a regional office in charge of designing and implementing an annual country
programme, with the objective of valuing and progressively strengthen the know-how of Mauritian crafts.
Hoping to contribute to the enhancement of manual trades in Mauritius, we give you rendez-vous throughout
the year 2019.
