It’s finally the holiday season! This is the time of giving, cheer, and most of all, service! Spend time with your families, and when you think of service projects, think about the Eliminate Project! The Eliminate Project is all about protecting the connection between a family. Host a holiday themed bake sale, or throw a holiday party for charity! I know a favorite amongst my home club for helping out families is working together with local food banks and soup kitchens. Meals on Wheels and Loaves and Fishes are some organizations that you could look into to get further involved with your community. The winter season is an important part of the CKI year. Remember to keep yourselves involved in service as much as you can, so you can get used to it when school begins again. You want to keep a steady flow of service throughout the year so you can continue to motivate yourself and your fellow members! Gift wrapping as well as donating toys are also excellent ideas! Spread joy and happiness by doing some top-notch service as the new year begins. A great way to begin your year!
For the future, The Eliminate Project will be campaigning through social media in order to promote Show your love, Save a life. If you’re familiar with Key Club, you know that their signature project is around Halloween, named Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF. Last year, it was established by the 2012-2013 CKI Service Committee that CKI would have Valentines Day as their “holiday” fundraiser. Show your love, Save a life is all about promoting love between significant others, family, and friends in order to remember the connection that you are trying to protect. I will be creating service resources to jump-start your brain-cells into having wonderful ideas about this cause. As the 2014 mark begins, know that there is only a year left for Eliminate to finally reach it’s goal. I will do my best t to make sure that The Eliminate Project starts s uccessfully successfully in the new year. Be sure to lookout for a a UNICEF video as well as ideas about projects!
Have a wonderful holiday season, everyone!
