ANNUAL PERFORMANCE CALCULATIONS FOR EUROPE
SYSTEM WIND AND SNOW LOAD PRESSURE
Under the requirements of EN 12795-1( European Standard) the type of collector used in these systems has been tested( ITW 11COL1015) to 2000 Pa, the maximum pressure( positive and negative) limit of the test equipment. This value has been used to determine the maximum permissible limits of wind load( v m) as 56.6 m / s( 203.6 km / h) and snow load( s k) as 2 kN / m 2.
Systems or collector only installations using these collectors are only to be installed where the maximum values of s k( snow load) and v m( mean wind velocity) for the specific geographical area and installation circumstances do not exceed the European permissible limit of wind and snow load. Values of v m and s k for your area can be obtained by consulting the local dealer, a qualified structural engineer or relevant authorities.
These collectors and systems are routinely used in Australian Cyclonic regions.
