Four years later and it is time to say good bye to a fellow club member.
Branislav and his family arrived in South Africa from Slovakia in July 2014 and joined Jacaranda Fly Fishing Club soon after. His first fly fishing trip was to Eendekuil at the Vaal where he caught his first Yellow fish on fly.
This is where our journey with Brani started, learning so much about fly fishing done his way. Travels to the Vaal river, Bushman’s river, Sterkfontein dam, Lesotho and various places around Dullstroom. Branislav also helped teaching fly fishing to the Klipspruit kids at Verlorenkloof and arranged some donations from Dohiku fly fishing hooks from Slovakia.
We received some valuable fly fishing knowledge from Branislav who willingly passed it on to us. We will remember his motto "keep it simple" with his few flies when fishing, non-complicated rigs and a way that only he understands, never blanking!
Thanks Branislav for this time we could spend together which will always be treasured! We will miss you on our trips and club events but know that one day you will come back to visit, landing those big gold bars...
