"It was this long."

Fishing on the Olympic Peninsula is really fantastic. On the left, the Discovery Trail bridges the Dungenesss River. The Trail is popular for walking, jogging, bicycling, marathons and communing with nature.

Sequim Recreation

Sequim has more recreational opportunities all year than almost anywhere in the U.S. This is true because of the mild climate, the raid shadow effect, the mountains to the south, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the north. In Sequim or within a reasonable drive from Sequim are healthy activities, such as hiking, kayaking, sailing, surfing, skiiing, fishing, bird watching, camping, beach combing, equestrian activities, golfing, visting the famous Olympic Game Farm, enjoying the Lavender Festival, attend the Sequim Mixed Martial Arts fights, take a ferry ride to Victoria or to Seattle for the afternoon, walking in the Olympic National Park, attend a Master Gardener event, walk or run a half-marathon (or full), stay at an RV park, or tour Sequim on a beautiful sunny day. It's sunny every day in Sequim, except for the one day each year when it rains.
