Dentists are looking to practice in states with a friendly business environment . Ask any dental student and they will tell you that they factor in a state ’ s third-party payer practices and policies when deciding where to practice dentistry . Currently , Pennsylvania retains less than 30 percent of its dental school graduates because they are seeking employment in other states with fewer insurance restrictions and fairer reimbursement to cover overhead expenses , salaries , etc . Lack of Assignment of benefits legislation is hurting Pennsylvania ’ s dental workforce capacity .

COVID-19 .
Just looking at it on the page the words seem innocuous . Out of context , it looks like the name of a computer part or an obscure French address .
But within the context of all our lives the reality is that it ’ s upended every aspect of humanity . Personally , professionally , socially , and in every context you can think of , it ’ s changed things , and rarely for the better . Although dogs might be happier with their people being home much more often .
What it hasn ’ t changed is our efforts on your behalf . This issue showcases many of the things , both big and little , that we ’ ve worked on to make your life better and get you through this crisis . We are a team and like all teams everyone has a role to play . If every player gives their best the entire team is far more likely to win and the effort is not as draining on any one individual . We demonstrate , every day , how much we want you to win .
In this period of uncertainty we know that we can count on you to help your political action committee ( PAC ) so that your PAC can help you . Anything that you can contribute is building a better future and very much appreciated . While we are all living day by day now , we must plan for the future because it will be here sooner than we can imagine .
