Everyone has been working hard to pave the path for a successful start to our school year. Classroom procedures and expectations have been set. Numerous assessments were completed to help guide instruction and allow for differentiation based on student needs. Getting back into a school routine is important for your child and your family. Setting up a homework time with daily reading and math practice will show great academic gains. We also encourage you to have your child share with you examples of how they are responsible, respectful, safe, caring and a problem solver—both at home and at school. These are our expectations with the BEE behavioral program. Wayne is the place to BEE! Oct. 25: NO SCHOOL/Professional Development Day BEE Proud Oct. 25: Halloween Bash 6:00—8:00p.m. To BEE yourself Nov. 5 : Picture Retakes (Please note date change from Oct. 30) By Being you Best! Picture Retakes WES Picture Retake day will be on Tuesday, November 5. If your child was absent and you would like to order a picture package, please send the order form and payment on retake day. If you were unhappy with your original picture package, please return it intact on retake day. A new picture will be taken and a new package ordered. Students are given BEE slips by teachers and support staff throughout the day, with a different focus each month. October’s focus will be on behavior in the hallways. When walking within Wayne’s wonderful walls, students should have a zero voice. Lastly, in an effort to encourage and support our reading initiatives, please look within this newsletter for a “Reading Reward” coupon. Winners will randomly be selected at the end of the month!
