Dear Member ,
September is here and my team is working diligently setting up our tee sheets , inputting member groups and all of our member tournaments . This year will also feature many fitting days from Callaway , TaylorMade , Ping , Cobra , Cleveland / Srixon and now PXG Golf . We recently decided to partner with Parsons Xtreme Golf ( PXG ) to further assist our members in finding new clubs for their golf games . The only downside right now to ordering clubs is the stagnation in the supply chain . Should you decide to get fitted and order new clubs , the lead time receiving those clubs can be anywhere from 1-4 months . I ’ m hopeful this issue gets corrected sooner rather than later but with the Delta variant still spreading it could be a while .
This season in the golf shop you will notice several new faces . As many of you know , Tom Grammas is no longer with us . He has moved on to the join the team at Sarasota National . Tom did an excellent job here at Sun ‘ N Lake and is now doing very well at his new Club . Since his departure we have hired William Hillborn to work behind the counter and take over some of the responsibilities Tommy was managing . William is going to be a great employee with his awesome attitude , strong customer service skills and attention to detail . Cindy Reiss , our former administrative assistant / member director , decided to step down at the end of July . We have since hired Ann Marie Sellers to fill that position . She is going to do very well and I am sure everyone is going to love her . Shop attendant , Taylor Derr , has also moved on and is attending Bryan College in Tennessee . To fill those hours in the shop we moved Ian McRoy inside ( also works in the cart barn ) and are continuing to train him . Ian is a nice young man and I believe you will like him as well .
Our Club is home again this year to the Sebring High School boys and girls golf teams . Over the next couple months , you will see these youngsters practicing at the range and playing on our courses . Should you run into some of these kids please offer a word of encouragement to them . It is my hope that their experience at our Club will have a positive impact in their lives . My oldest daughter , Rebecca , is a freshman this year and is playing in the # 1 and # 2 spots on the girl ’ s team . I ’ m very proud and excited that she will be representing SHS . The Club will again host the Crutchfield / Hawkins High School Invitational . This tournament hosts a variety of schools from all over Florida with some incredibly talented young men . Over the years we have been fortunate to have many members volunteer their time to help us make this event a success . We are asking again for volunteers to assist in getting the players on and off the golf course . Please see the flyer in this newsletter for more details on volunteering for this event .
Sincerely ,

Andy Kesling
