There is one last thing that makes these
markers special. On the back of each of
these fifteen Ultra Shockers, the number
“40” is engraved on the back cap. That is the
late Tim Montressor’s number and these
guns would not exist without him. If you
did not know, Tim came up playing in the
Michigan area and even played for some of
Cesare’s teams back in the day. Tim went
on to do some amazing things in paintball
and started working for SP who makes the
Shockers. When Cesare decided to start
creating things for paintball, he reached out
to Tim and the idea of the Ultra Shockers
was born. It was the friendship between Tim
and Cesare that enabled the two companies
to work together and create these paint
slinging masterpieces. Tim Montressor
was the quintessential paintball player. His
enthusiasm and good hearted nature made
him the best of all of us and he will be sorely
missed by our entire community. Every time
I pick up this Shocker, I see that “40” there
on the back cap and it just makes me want
to “be better”. Not a better player… just be
better in everything. So, thank you Cesare
for including that.
By the time you read this, all the first fifteen
Ultra Shockers have already been sold. How
I was able to get one of these in my paint
soaked paws is another story for another
day but please know, I will treasure this
Shocker forever. Out of the original fifteen,
it is one of five that were anodized in the
“Fire and Ice” colour. The red and yellow
combination makes it look like a really angry
orange and I love it. The other primary
anodization was a pattern called “Black Ice”
and it looks amazing too. There were a few
“special colour requests” that were made
by people that pre-ordered these markers,
but most of the Ultra Shockers were black
or fire.
