So, what makes the Ultra Shocker special?
In a word… everything. First and foremost,
because it is technically “stock” and
assembled at the SP factory, it has its full
factory warranty. That is important. What
Cesare did was buy all the parts prior to
assembly and sent them out for anodization.
So that all parts are match anodized.
Everything matches, from the locking feed
neck to the ASA knob. It all matches. That
might not sound impressive, but you need
to remember that when you anodize your
parts, it affects the tolerances so having
a full custom anodization WITH a factory
warranty… huge. Cesare did not simply just
have a stock gun anodized though. He made
sure to get all the extras that were available.
He made sure that the CVO mechanical
frame was included and coloured to match.
He made sure that the new Freak ACP XL
barrel tip was also in the package along
with the standard All American tip. Cesare
knew that people would want this option
as the ACP tip shoots clean in some of the
worst conditions. Cesare made sure that
the Freak XL system had a set of stainless
steel inserts as well for maximum durability.
What really makes the Ultra Shocker stand
out over a regular Shocker however is what
Cesare did to the insides. He has created a
new lubricant specifically for paintball called
Ultra Silk. This stuff is incredible. More
importantly though, is that he has created
a special treatment system called Boom
Juice. The Boom treatment permanently
gets into the surface of the metal so that it
is smoother. It fills in all the incredibly tiny
imperfections. These Ultra Shockers have
not only been treated with Boom Juice but
have Ultra Silk lubricant included in the
package.
There is a controversy in paintball right now
about the new Ultra Silk lubricant and I
would be irresponsible if I did not mention
it here. Ultra Silk has 3% petroleum in it. Yes,
yes… I know… every experienced paintballer
will tell you that you NEVER use petroleum
