y name is Michael
Evans and I am
fifteen. Golfing with
my dad is awesome.
He’s way up there as
my best friend specially
when we both are keen
on golfing together a
lot. We live in Florida
where golfing and golf
cars are a way of life for
lots of folks.
Dad gets your maga-
zine a lot and likes it
a bunch. I look at it a
lot and get a kick out of
reading the Golf Cart
Chronicles stories and
all the golf car stuff, and
this is why my email
36
message is sent to you.
want to buy dad a better golf
car for dirt cheap money, he
has arthritis and it helps him to
get around the holes. He keeps
fixing up old GOPHER but more
things are broken and we can’t
use it. When I asked pops “Why
don’t you buy a used golf car that
is in good running condition?
Here is what he said: “When you
grow up you will understand that
money does not grow on golf
cars”, and he is right.
At my age I already know that
because I never saw any money
growing on any golf cars or other
road 4 wheelers. So, I started
PROJECT GOPHER.

I found ways to earn money in
between school, chores, golf-
ing, homework and R&R. Guess
what?
I have already saved one hun-
dred and ninety six dollars and
seventy five cents by doing odd
jobs and stuff. Here they are:
• I find and wash dirty used golf
balls and sell them for five cents
each (no tax).
• My allowance is changed from
five dollars a day to eight (no
tax) because of those damn cost
of living expenses. I save two
dollars a day when the bagged
lunch mom makes is scrumptus.
• Cut front and back grass at
home; make family nachos
