There was a private celebration of John and Maureen’s life

WILLIAM CAGGIULA
COLEBROOK–William ‘Bill’
D. Caggiula, 67, of Colebrook,
died on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, in
Dixville.
He was born in Whitefield on
June 29, 1949, a son to the late
Vincent and Thérèse (Crepeau)
Caggiula, Sr.
Bill attended
schools in Whitefield and Colebrook, and was a 1967 graduate
of Colebrook Academy. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving
with honor during the Vietnam
era.
Following his military service,
Bill returned to the North Country and began a long career as
the part owner and fulltime operator of The Balsams Wilderness
Ski Shop. Like his dad, Bill
enjoyed fishing and playing the
piano. He loved the beach and
spent many summers on the Gulf
Coast of Florida. Bill’s nieces and
nephews were an important part
of his life and he looked forward
to their visits.
Bill leaves behind 10 siblings:
Vincent, Jr. (Chip) of Douglasville, Ga.; Peter, of Plymouth;
Suzanne Shook and husband,
Jaron, of Newark, Ohio; Gina
Graveside services will be held
at the convenience of the family.

MARGARET WRIGHT
WHITEFIELD–Claire Margaret Wright, 70, of Old East Road,
passed Sept. 21, 2016, at Weeks
Medical Center, Lancaster, after
a long courageous battle with
cancer.
Claire was born at home in
Whitefield on Christmas Day in
1945 the daughter of Leslie and
Carlena (Holmes) Baker. She
graduated from Whitefield High
School and on August 1, 1964 she
married the love of her life Elwin
A. Wright Jr.
For her entire life she has
been a dedicated homemaker.
She loved spending time with her
family and enjoyed being a
mother and a Nana. Her life
revolved around loving and taking care of her grandchildren.
She also enjoyed fishing, camping and family vacations.
Surviving family members
include her husband Elwin of
Whitefield; her three children,
Tina Perreault and husband
John of Maidstone, Stephen
Wright and wife Tina of Whitefield, Trisha McCabe and husband Jonathan of Guildhall; six
grandchildren, Cody and wife
Addy, Mariah, Trevor, Megan,
Forrest, Lily; two great-grandsons Cody Jr. and Jace; three
sisters, Barbara Colborn, Eleanor Stevens, and Glen Marro;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter Kelsey.
Memorial visiting hours will
be held Friday evening, Sept. 23,
2016 from 4-7 p.m. at the Bailey
Funeral Home in Lancaster.
ALLAN L. DUDLEY
W. STEWARTSTOWN– Allan
L. Dudley, 88, of South Canaan,
Vt., passed away peacefully on
Wednesday morning, Sept. 21,
2016, at the Coös County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown.
He was born in Canaan on
Oct. 22, 1927, a son to the late
Gerald and Laura (Ludgate)
Dudley, Sr. He was raised on the
family farm in South Canaan
where he resided for most of his
life. He served honorably for a
brief period in the U.S. Army in
1946.
Allan was the laundry manager and custodian at the Upper
Connecticut Valley Hospital in
Colebrook for many years. He
was a tinkerer, and a talented
small appliance repairman. He
also liked to dabble in electronics. As a younger man, he
worked at the Stratford Plywood
Mill. He was proud of his home
and loved to take care of his
property, and he could often be
found on his lawnmower.
Allan is survived by two sons,
Don Dudley and wife Carol of
Northfield, and Richard Dudley
of Concor d; as well as four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Jean (Barnett) Dudley
in 2007, and two brothers, David
and Gerald ‘Sonny’ Dudley, Jr.
Calling hours will be on Tues.,
Sept. 27, 2016 from 9 to 11 a.m.
at the Jenkins & Newman
Funeral Home in Colebrook, with
a service to follow at the funeral
home at 11 a.m. Burial with
military honors will immediately
follow at St. Brendan’s Catholic
Cemetery.
