family. His faith was important
to him and he was a member of
the River of Life Church where
he served as a deacon and treasurer. He will be greatly missed
by his family, students, and
many friends, and will be remembered by all as a true family man
who was generous to all.
He leaves behind his wife of
42 years, Deborah (Dehl) Dionne
of Clarksville; his daughter,
Tammy Mathieu and husband
Bruno of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Emmett and Christian
Mathieu; his mother, Alice
Dionne of West Stewartstown;
two brothers, Dan Dionne of
West Stewartstown and Michael
Dionne and wife Hélène of
Clarksville; as well as his
beloved nieces and nephews,
Chantal Rioux, André Dionne,
Joshua and Cyrus Mansfield.
He is preceded in death by
father, Antonio.
At Serge’s specific request,
there are no public calling hours.
A celebration of his life, to
include military honors, will be
held at the family home at 46
West Road in Clarksville, on
Saturday, Sept. 24, beginning at
1 p.m.

HELEN HIRTLE
W. STEWARTSTOW–Helen
P. Hirtle, 88, passed away peacefully with her husband by her
side on Sunday afternoon, Sept.
11, 2016, at the Coös County
Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown.
She was born Helen P. Sullivan on March 10, 1928, in
Malden, Mass., the middle child
of John and Edith (Dyment) Sullivan.
She graduated business
school, and as her children got
older she worked as a secretary
in Everett, Mass. Helen was
loved by all who were blessed to
know her.
She leaves behind her husband of 70 years, Harold W.
Hirtle of West Stewartstown;
two daughters, Kathleen E
Cashton and her husband Steven of Byfield, Mass., and Linda
A. Tyler and her husband Robert
of Clarksville; a brother, John F
Sullivan and his wife Barbara of
Peabody Mass.; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren,
and one great great-grandson.
She is predeceased by her
son, Thomas H. Hirtle.

LEONARD C. PARKER
BERLIN–Leonard Carroll
Parker, 66, of Berlin passed
away on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016
at St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in West Stewartstown on March 19, 1950. Leonard was raised in Colebrook and
graduated from Colebrook Academy. He has resided in Berlin for
many years, where he worked
for White Mountain Lumber
Company for over 22 years,
retiring in 2009. He enjoyed
playing cards and games over
coffee. Len loved time spent with
his family. He was a quiet man
and will be missed.
He is survived by his mother
Carolyn Parker Banks of Berlin;
two sons; Jason Parker and Benjamin Parker; six siblings; Cindy
Morin and husband David of
Berlin, Harold Parker of Florida,
Rose Fortin and husband Henry

LANCASTER–Richard
A.
“Thumper” Webster, 79, died
Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at
Country Village Genesis Healthcare, Lancaster, after a long illness. He was surrounded by his
family.
Webster was born in Lancaster on April 6, 1937 the son of
Richard H. and Dora (Braband)
Webster. He grew up in Lancaster and attended Lancaster
Schools. As a young man he
served with the National Guard
for several years.
All of his life he worked as a
truck driver and heavy equipment operator. His former
employers included Washburn
Lumber, Welog, Roger Brown
and Larry Brown. He enjoyed
auto racing, camping, hunting
and fishing, especially brook
trout. Dick and Kay loved going
on ocean cruises. In all they went
on seven during their marriage.
Family members include his
wife Catherine “Kay” Bronson of
Lancaster; five children and
their spouses, Sherry Deyette
and Faron of Groveton, Cynthia
Dunn and Robert of Whitefield,
Richard J. Webster and Pamela
of Groveton, Caryn Snelling and
Richard of Bethlehem, Stephanie
Kenison and Rusty of Groveton;
16 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Cady
Stockbridge; a great-granddaughter Destiny Dunn; two
brothers, Hollis Webster, Herbert Webster and a sister Carol
Sherman.
Memorial visiting hours and
a time of sharing will be held
Saturday, Sept. 24 from 1-4 p.m.
at the Bailey Funeral Home,
Lancaster.
