When she was not enjoying the beauty that New Hampshire had to offer, Maureen was traveling the world. Her favorite spots included Las Vegas and the various islands of the Caribbean. To celebrate one of their wedding anniversaries, she and her husband took a dream vacation to Europe where Maureen was immersed in the cultures of Italy, Spain, Greece, and Turkey. It was a once in a lifetime trip that she spoke of often with enthusiasm and excitement. Her greatest sense of pride and joy came in the love she had for her family. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John; her son Robert and his wife Erin and their children, Margaret and Christian Pugh; her daughter Laurieanne Davis and her husband Shawn; her father-in-law Neil; her brother Skipper Walsh and his wife Paula, and their children Michael, Matthew, and Emily; several brothers and sisters-in-law who were the center of her being; as well as a niece and two nephews. There are no public calling hours. There will be a private celebration of her life held at a later date at the convenience of the family. He lived in Helena, Mt.; Essex, Vt.; Canaan; Grand Isle, Vt. and Pittsburg. Scott met his bride, Martha Allen, and they married on March 2nd, 1985. Scott and Martha spent the last 25 years living at their home and farm on Pollard Hill in Canaan, Vt. and raised two boys there, Cody McKibben and Wyatt McKibben. Scott designed and built the family home by hand with logs from their land. He immensely enjoyed the outdoors and spent his time sailing, building guitars, canoeing, fishing, skiing, woodworking, reading, camping, and researching his Scottish heritage. Scott adored tending to his orchard and pressing the apples to make Scot’s Pretty Good Cider. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 and a half years, Martha Allen; along with his two sons, Cody Mckibben and Wyatt McKibben; his brothers, Frank McKibben and Ted McKibben; his one niece and four nephews; and many other loving family and friends. The family is planning an informal celebration of life and potluck gathering at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at their home on Pollard Hill Road in Canaan, Vt. Marier Scott McKibben SCOTT MCKIBBEN CANAAN, Vt.–Scott Weldon McKibben, age 64, of Canaan, Vt., passed away on Aug. 31, 2016, at the Littleton Regional Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born Aug. 13, 1952, in Rochester, N.Y., the youngest of three sons of Veda Juanita (Mizell) and Donald McKibben. Scott graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1975 and quickly discovered a passion for woodworking. He taught the craft, including architectural drafting GUY A. MARIER BERLIN–Guy A. Marier, 50, of Berlin, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016. He was born in Lancaster on June 19, 1966, a son of Marcel and Nancy (Connary) Marier and was raised in Stratford and was a graduate of Stratford High School. Guy was a manager at Berlin Spring Inc. for 15 years and most recently was a welder for JML Trucking in Errol. He was a past member of the Androscoggin Valley Fish and Game Assoc. and enjoyed spending time in the winter months grooming snowmobile trails. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his dogs.
