Samantha Smith
SAMANTHA SMITH
W. STEWARTSTOWN – Samantha M. Smith, 39, of West Stewartstown, died tragically on Monday morning, Sept. 5, 2016, in Colebrook as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Route 3.
She was born in Massachusetts on May 23, 1977, a daughter to Kathleen Brassard. She was a graduate of Littleton High School.
Sami loved to hunt and fish, was devoted to her pets, and she loved to spend time with her niece and nephews. She was a gemstone collector, and collected many other things, as well. She enjoyed traveling the back roads of the North Country looking for moose, and she always enjoyed being with her friends.
She leaves behind her mother, Kathleen Duffy of Lisbon, as well as her beloved niece and nephews, Jeffrey Brock, Cote Smith, and James and Elizabeth Duguay. Sami is predeceased by her husband, Thaddeus T. Smith, in May 2016.
There are no public calling hours. There will be a private celebration of her life held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Peter Collins, Sr.
PETER COLLINS, SR.
NORTH STRATFORD – Peter Ralph Collins, Sr., 73, of Egan Road, North Stratford died peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock
Medical Center in Lebanon after a sudden illness.
Peter was born on Jan. 19, 1943 in New London, Conn. a son of Ralph A. and Dorothy( Carter) Collins and has been a resident of North Stratford for 27 years coming from Freemont.
Over the years, Peter was a truck driver and drove for Poplin Farms. He collected coins, enjoyed fishing, camp at Great East Lake and just being outdoors. He loved his Harley-Davidson, cars and Elvis Presley. He was a grumpy man with a very soft heart and a great sense of humor.
Peter is survived by his wife 47 years, Jean( Smart) Collins of North Stratford; three children Brenda Breen and husband Jeff of Littleton; Cheryl Trant and husband Johnny and Peter R. Collins, Jr. all of North Stratford; two grandchildren Felicia Breen and Alley Breen one brother Douglas Collins of Little Rock, Ar.; one sister Patricia Torres of Kimberton, Penn. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Peter’ s request there will be no services at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.

Gerard Aubut
GERARD AUBUT
NORTHUMBERLAND – Gerard Archie“ Fugi” Aubut, 65, of Lancaster Rd., Northumberland died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side.
“ Fugi” was born on Jan. 28, 1951 in Berlin, a son of Edward and Irene Mary( Houle) Aubut. He was a graduate of Berlin High School class of 1972.
He was a resident of Northumberland for twenty-six years coming from Berlin. Before retiring he worked for 35 years for James River and Wausau Papers. He enjoyed hunting, snow machining, and working in the yard. He has a rooster and eagle collection.
He is survived by his mother Irene Aubut of Berlin; son Gary Aubut and wife Linnea of Gray, Maine; grandson Ian Aubut; granddaughter Lucy Aubut both of Gray, Maine; seven siblings Robert Aubut of Berlin; Terry Nadeau of Gorham; Rev. Doris Aubut of Lincoln; Roger Aubut of Lincoln; Roland Aubut of West Milan; Jene Aubut of Auburn, Maine; Jackie Aubut of West Milan; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Edward Aubut; one sister Lucille Chamberland; and one brother Paul Aubut.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 from 4-6 p. m. at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Mass of Christian Burial were at 11 a. m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Interment followed in the St. Francis Cemetery in Groveton.

Maureen Malloy
MAUREEN MALLOY
COLEBROOK – Maureen A. Malloy, 66, of Colebrook, died peacefully on Sunday evening, Sept. 4, 2016, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital with her family by her side and after battling cancer for three years.
She was born in Belmont, Mass., on Dec. 22, 1949, a daughter to the late James and Marion( Dennen) Walsh. She attended Belmont public schools and later went on to earn her associates degree at Fisher Junior College.
She worked for Bentley University as an administrative secretary in the Natural Science department until she retired in 2002. After retiring, Maureen and her husband John moved to Colebrook, where she spent her days gardening, working on her home, and traveling. Maureen’ s greatest joy was working in her garden and enjoying the beauty of the Great North Woods through the various seasons. She was an avid snowmobiler and
