BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING July 1, 2026 7 PM American Legion, Chaska, MN MINUTES
Board Members Present: Lynn-Ellen St. Martin, Paul Hansen, Dustin Heck, James Duenow, Julia Northwick, Julie Gintner, Courtney Betsch, Karson Duncanson, Darcy Berget, Lori Taylor, Keith Sather
Other members and visitors: Sara Schwartz( Parliamentarian / Wissota ApHC), Hilary Vetse( WSCA Princess / Storm Quarter Horses) Meeting was called to order by Lynn-Ellen St. Martin at 7 PM Public Open Comment: None Secretary’ s Report: Liz Bauer
It was noted that a correction was to be made under the Treasurer’ s Report, to clarify that judges’ dues were not turned in because they are only due every 3 years. It was noted that a correction needs to be made under Procedure Committee’ s report that the Social Media policy has been added, instead of will be. It was noted that corrections need to be made under Rulebook committee’ s report, that going forward rulebook sales will be tracked, instead of should be.
A motion was made by Keith Sather, seconded by James Duenow, to approve the June 3, 2026 meeting minutes, with the above corrections. Motion carried unanimously.

Balance Sheet and Income Statement was presented; YTD Net Income( Loss) is($ 19,108.35). LYTD was($ 9,830.69). Mandy added a change column to the treasurer’ s report for comparing net income between current year statements and the prior year’ s income. We earned a $ 77 refund from the workmans comp audit.
A motion was made by Dustin Heck, seconded by Lori Taylor to approve the June 30, 2026, Treasurers Report, subject to audit. Motion carried unanimously.
Correspondence: One late member addition request was received with appropriate fee from Rochester Riders.
Committee Reports:
Awards Banquet: Julia Northwick The committee has been sourcing bands for the banquet and looking to meet to go over the menu.
Championship Horse Show: James Duenow
The committee has received the final approval from State Fair, and they will allow us to utilize the early arrival option on Wednesday. We received lots of positive feedback from exhibitors for offering it in 2025, and it also helps bring in additional income. New for this year, we also secured all night riding in the coliseum, starting after the Royalty Contest into early Thursday morning. James has also been working on logistics for shavings deliveries. The champ show special edition of the spotlight will be released July 15.
