Recapping our annual retreat
On July 17 the Cypress Board of Boys and Girls Aid met for a retreat . Joining us were two people from the Boys & Girls Aid Headquarters in Portland . We met at
WIESENTHAL the house of our Cypress
President Steph Pump . The weather was great so we were on her patio .
The agenda covered a wide range of topics . Many of them you will read about in the future . We spent a lot of time that day planning what we will do this coming year .
One thing that all of us know is that we each have three resources . One is our money , one is our energy and one is our time . These resources are interchangeable . For example , if I don ’ t have enough time to cook for a family of six , I throw some money at the problem and we go out to eat . If my energy runs out it will take more time to do a job , or I take a nap and recover

my energy . Both money and energy can be replaced . This makes time our most important resource because it cannot be replaced .
That is why we spent most of the day on the 17th deciding what we will do during the next Boys & Girls Aid year . Spending time now on planning will save us time

The women of this board and our many Cypress Boys & Girls Aid members will be working tirelessly during the next year . We will all be donating items we have purchased , using our energy for events and spending our time doing what is needed .
