In simple words they are the guys that store your website and are able to put it
live to the entire world using your domain name as the address to get access to.
I like to separate domain from hosting because if I don’t like the hosting I can
just cancel it and still have my domain separated to plug it in with another
hosting company. Domain transfers are really long and complicated. And
sometimes hosting services offer really expensive domain name registrations
and transfers.
