DANCE SHOW
This is my second year doing the Dance Show and just like the first year , it started with hard graft rehearsals . The rehearsals were two to three times a week and each was more than an hour long . In these rehearsals we faced the physical and mental challenge of trying to bring the Sixth Formers ’ incredible choreography and ideas to life .
As the day approached the tension was high as we crammed in as many rehearsals as possible and hastily rushed to make finishing touches to the dances – and of course try to perfect them . The time passed too quickly and with each minute the tension grew . It grew so much that dancers were practising nimbly anywhere they could . There was a lot of stress and nervousness as we had our final and technical rehearsal . There was no room for error as there was no time for change now .
The show begins : it is kicked off with ‘ Dance the Night Away ’ from Barbie . The costumes were appropriate : pink of course ! The Jazz Club had been practising this since last year and all their hard work paid off . What a joyful , amazing start to the show !
