Only established this year , the Old Sennockians Netball Club had a very successful run in the Go Mammoth Waterloo GMH League in London . The team gathered traction throughout the season , starting with a small selection of 2019 leavers and expanding to include 2018 leavers . It offered a really great opportunity to catch up with old friends and play sport , something that was so important to us at school .
We were thrilled to win the league , and it was really special to have James Emmitt , our Director of Sport while at Sevenoaks , spectating and joining us for a drink afterwards . The team has plans to expand , join another league and recruit more members , especially those just out of university , to encourage them to continue team sports .
We are really grateful for the support we received from school in joining the league , and the financial support from the Old Sennockians which made the league accessible to the members . We look forward to seeing what the future holds for the Old Sennockians Netball Club .

RUGBY
Budapest Sevens Every year The Old Guard , a group of alumni with a shared passion for rugby , get together to take part in tournaments around the world . This year we ventured to Hungary for the Budapest Rugby Sevens , playing teams from across Europe , including the Hungarian men ’ s national sevens team .
With leavers from the Classes of 2006 through to 2021 , the team showed a spirited performance , contesting throughout the tournament , winning every game and making it to the final . Coming up against the Hungarian national team , who have played top tier nations in the past , the Old Guard took an early lead going into half-time 14-5 up . Coming down to the final 90 seconds , the superior fitness and drills of the local champions took over and with a final few breakthroughs , the Old Guard lost 19-14 . It was a heroic effort by the whole team and all the players should be proud .
